In my work at home job, I am fortunate that I get to speak with many people per week. Some of these people have been in a work at home business of some sort, but are just not satisfied with their results, and are looking for another opportunity like TriVita. Others are kicking the tires of Yahoo, and looking for some way to build an incredible job income in a very short amount of time. Almost all of the people with whom I speak are clearly broke. I find that this situation, of being broke, runs rampant in our economy. You have people who were once earning a good living, now almost facing homelessness. Just last evening, I spoke with two of these people, and will share a little of the insights that i gained from talking with them.

Person One

Person one called me last night, and was interested in receiving more information about my work at home business called TriVita. Naturally, when I received the callback notification, I simply picked up the phone and returned the call. The person on the other end was literally shocked that I would respond so quickly. I informed person that this was what I do. I am willing to speak with anyone about working at home. I simply provide benefits, solutions and answers for real people, concerning starting, and then growing this work at home business. Person went on to say that they were looking for a home business that would make them six figures in the first year. They wanted to know if TriVita was this sort of business. Naturally, I told the truth and said NO! They come back and say that they would need this sort of income if they were to build an organization using TriVita as the chief focus. I began to wonder as we continued our conversation. What I found out next, was surprising, shocking and quite frankly, puzzling to me as well.

Person One said that they were totally broke. They had lost big money in the stock market and were thinking that this work at home business would be just the ticket to pull them out of the muck and mire of having no money. Person One also told me that they did not have the assets to even be on the auto ship that is required when joining TriVita. We are talking $39 per month here, folks, and yet, Person informed me that they needed at least a six figured income per year before they would even think about joining my work at home business. I politely bowed out of this conversation, and left it in the hands of fate.

The puzzling piece of this work at home mystery is that the above story is representative of the mindset and thinking that most have about pursuing a work at home business of some sort. I cannot tell how many times I have been asked if I am a millionaire. I always have the same response, No, but I earn a good living with TriVita, and I am financially free. This is what working at home has done for me, and interestingly enough, most people are just not satisfied with this type of thinking. Like Person One, they would need a six figured income to pursue a work at home business. I have a suggest here. Stay with day job at Wal-Mart. You will do much better!

Person Two

Person Two was an interesting case study in the work at home industry as well. I dare say that beaten down, dragged down and literally depressed, would even hardly cover this conversation. This young Person Two had been out of work for over two years. They had been involved in a work at home business before, but had been able to make no sales, had no contacts to speak with, and was literally chapped at being involved with the business in the first place. Person Two also informed me that they too, could not afford the $39 to start a TriVita business. They had borrowed money from others on another deal, and were basically very embarrassed that they could not even pay their friends back.

Admittedly, I was as compassionate as I possibly could be here, speaking with this person, but I had no real solutions that might help them out of their deeply dug hole of depression. Honestly, if one is depressed, down and out and basically tired of the daily struggle of living in general, then certainly, the work at home industry is not for them either. You must be dedicated, driven and motivated to achieve success here. There is no room for not believing in yourself, or the product that you are offering to others. With the attitude that Person Two had, I dare say that they will never be successful in anything until they literally pull themselves up by the boot straps, and be willing to earn and learn in the process. Without visualization, desire, drive, ambition and a positive attitude that will prove successful in the future, then a work at home business is nothing to pursue.

Be aware that I am not poking fun at Person One, nor Person Two. I am simply giving real information concerning dealing with people today. In this economy, the job market is literally down the tubes. The work at home industry is the solution, but you must be willing to learn and earn your way to a positive and rewarding career. You will never get anywhere in this industry, nor any industry, if YOU cannot pick yourself up, and GO TO WORK! For myself, and millions of work at home entrepreneurs, it should be thought of one of the most important things that you can do for your financial future. Most people seem to think that simply having a face page site, is the key to their online presence. It is almost humorous to think of the billions of sites that are floating about on the search engines, that literally no one sees. They are stuck back on page five hundred, or maybe on page five hundred thousand on Google. No one will ever see the site, and the forsaken work at home entrepreneur is stuck thinking that his or her business is failing. The reason for the failure rate in the home business industry is this simple lack of understanding this process of getting sites to the top positions on the Internet. Mysterious as it may seem to you, this is exactly why people do not make money with a work at home business, and probably never will.

There is a definite work around to this problem. This is an impressive category with about 300 million entries on it. While not impressive from a traffic standpoint, it simply states the message very clearly that working a forum correctly does attract the interest of the search engine spiders.

I am a believer in working at home. Obviously, my track record of seven years speaks highly for my belief that people can achieve their dreams and goals if they consistently put forth the effort and dedication to achieve a better quality of life than having a traditional day job. Not every business venture that I have started has turned out positively. If you really believe that people in the work at home industry are getting filthy rich by staying and working at home, then you Google reader, are full of fantasy. I personally know, and work with, some of the top rated work at home entrepreneurs in this industry. They are NOT getting rich, but they ARE making a good living for themselves and their families. I also know for a fact that finding a good stable work at home business model to follow, is one of the most important things for you to consider when thinking about starting any type of work at home business on the Internet.

Whether you are aware of it or not, there are people on Google that are making a living by building and growing a work at home business. I am consistently in forward motion when it comes to promoting, writing and talking about my business. I never quit, and as a matter of fact, I can probably write more content than most people can fathom. So, is writing the key to building a good work at home business? Absolutely! Unless you set your mind to this fact, then you will probably fail. This is the root cause of the failure in the home business industry. People will not write. People cannot write. I find this amazing.

For myself, the Internet on Google is a love hate relationship. I love the aspect of being able to make money from my work at home business. In today's work at home article, I wanted to cover more in depth, the different methods used to build a work at home business. Of course, there are other ways to accomplish this, but I feel that covering MLM, Network Marketing and Affiliate Marketing are probably the most widely used ways to build a strong business on Google.

MLM

Multi-level marketing (MLM), (also called network marketing, direct selling, and referral marketing, is a term that describes a marketing structure used by some companies as part of their overall marketing strategy. The structure is designed to create a marketing and sales force by compensating promoters of company products not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of other promoters they introduce to the company, creating a downline of distributors and a hierarchy of multiple levels of compensation.

The products and company are usually marketed directly to consumers and potential business partners by means of relationship referrals and word of mouth marketing.

MLM companies have been a frequent subject of controversy as well as the target of lawsuits. Criticism has focused on their similarity to illegal pyramid schemes, price-fixing of products, high initial start-up costs, emphasis on recruitment of lower-tiered salespeople over actual sales, encouraging if not requiring salespeople to purchase and use the company's products, potential exploitation of personal relationships which are used as new sales and recruiting targets, complex and sometimes exaggerated compensation schemes, and cult like techniques which some groups use to enhance their members' enthusiasm and devotion. Not all MLM companies operate the same way, and MLM groups have persistently denied that their techniques are anything but legitimate business practices.

The essence of MLM, or a pyramid business, is in fact, really legitimate. If you look at the most powerful country in the world, the USA, this is built directly on a pyramid scale. The problem with MLM is the fact that over zealous liars become involved, and many people will lose their money by becoming associated with these types of organizations. This is not to say that MLM is bad, but there are definitely bad people on Google that will separate you, from your hard earned cash at the drop of a hat. Simply because someone does not know how to make money with an MLM work at home business, that is no reason to condemn the whole industry.

Network Marketing

Very simple to MLM work at home is the network marketing business. Independent, unsalaried salespeople of multi-level marketing, referred to as distributors (or associates, independent business owners, dealers, franchise owners, sales consultants, consultants, independent agents, represent the company that produces the products or provides the services they sell. They are awarded a commission based upon the volume of product sold through their own sales efforts as well as that of their downline organization.

Independent distributors develop their organizations by either building an active customer base, who buy direct from the company, or by recruiting a downline of independent distributors who also build a customer base, thereby expanding the overall organization. Additionally, distributors can also earn a profit by retailing products they purchased from the company at wholesale price.

This arrangement of distributors earning a commission based on the sales of their independent efforts as well as the leveraged sales efforts of their downline is similar to franchise arrangements where royalties are paid from the sales of individual franchise operations to the franchiser as well as to an area or regional manager. Commissions are paid to multilevel marketing distributors according to the company's compensation plan. There can be individuals at multiple levels of the structure receiving royalties from a single person's sales.

Here again, network marketing is a great way to build a work at home business. As a matter of fact, my choice of network marketing is called TriVita. Here, I refer others to the program, help them to begin to earn money, and the process goes along. I have been involved with TriVita for years, and I feel that it is indeed a good business.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts. Examples include rewards sites, where users are rewarded with cash or gifts, for the completion of an offer, and the referral of others to the site. The industry has four core players: the merchant (also known as 'retailer' or 'brand'), the network, the publisher also known as the affiliate, and the customer. The market has grown in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including affiliate management agencies, super affiliates and specialized third parties vendors.

Affiliate marketing overlaps with other Internet marketing methods to some degree, because affiliates often use regular advertising methods. Those methods include organic search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, and in some sense display advertising. On the other hand, affiliates sometimes use less orthodox techniques, such as publishing reviews of products or services offered by a partner.

Affiliate marketing—using one website to drive traffic to another—is a form of online marketing, which is frequently overlooked by advertisers.[1] While search engines, e-mail, and website syndication capture much of the attention of online retailers, affiliate marketing carries a much lower profile. Still, affiliates continue to play a significant role in e-retailers' marketing strategies. Affiliate marketing plays into the over aspects of creating a work at home business that pays off.

No matter what manner you use to build a work at home business, MLM, Network Marketing or Affiliate Marketing, the promoting process is the same. Getting site visitors to your information, or search engine optimization, is the key to driving motivated visitors to your site.
